British Historical Medals, Charles XI of Sweden Elected Knight of the Garter, 1671, a silver medal, unsigned [by J. Roettiers], St George on horseback right, spearing dragon, rev. Star surrounded by Garter decorated with two crowns and pairs of interlinked cs, all within collar, 44mm, 35.46g (MI I, 549/206; E 247). Small obverse rim knock at 9 o’clock, otherwise extremely fine and toned, rare £400-500
