Roman Imperial Coinage, Macrinus, Sestertius, Rome, 217, laureate and cuirassed bust right, imp caes m opel sev macrinvs avg, rev. iovi conservatori, Jupiter standing left, holding sceptre and thunderbolt, small figure of Emperor before him, s c in field, 22.25g (RIC 189; BMC 102; C 39; Sear 7379). Of superior style, hairline flan crack, otherwise good very fine, dark green patina, rare £1,200-1,500
