1st Lancashire Volunteer Rifles Officer’s 1869 Pattern Shako, the blue cloth body complete with all silver plated fittings and silver lace trimming, the shako plate of crowned star 1855 pattern is in two parts, the central mount being a circular strap ‘Lancashire Volunteer Rifles’ enclosing a strung bugle horn with ‘1’ within the strings, green wool circular ball plume with incorrect white metal plume holder, the plate not original to the shako, buff leather sweatband and quilted crimson silk lining, sweatband part detached and with stitching faults, slight staining to the top rim of the shako otherwise good overall condition £500-600
