The Cambridgeshire Militia Officer’s 1869 Pattern Shako Together With Incorrect Pattern Metal Carrying Tin, the blue cloth body complete with plated fittings and narrow silver lace trimming, the cast silver frontal plate of 1855 pattern being a crowned beaded star this mounted centrally with a three towered castle and attached scroll ‘Cambridge’, the plate not original to the shako, red leather sweatband (fractured) and crude replacement silk lining (detached), the plume and plume holder of correct pattern but the retaining socket has been replaced with a stitched leather panel, the lace dull overall but the body sound overall (2) £300-400
