Middlesex Yeomanry Volunteer’s Medal 1812, an oval engraved medal with embossed floriate border, 66mm x 52mm, silver (hallmarks for London 1811), obverse featuring a crowned G.R. cypher, with crossed sabres and ‘1812’ inscribed below, the reverse inscribed ‘Won by J. Evans, Esq., Best Swordsman in the Brentford Troop of the Middlesex Yeomanry’, with integral silver floriate ring suspension, minor dinting, good very fine £200-240
