British War Medal 1914-20 (M. 9481 W. Howker. S.B.A. R.N.) suspension claw slightly loose; Royal Naval Auxiliary Sick Berth Reserve L.S. & G.C., G.V.R., 2nd issue, fixed suspension, with Second Award Bar (1595. W. Howker, Sen. R.A. R.N.A.S.B.R.); St. John Service Medal, 3 bars (5610 Cpl. W. Howker Brierfield Divn. No. 4 Dis. SJAB 1927), mounted as originally worn, minor edge bruising overall, very fine, scarce (3) £180-220

Willie Howker was born in Brierfield, Lancashire, in July 1895. He served as a Sick Berth Attendant at Chatham and Queensferry Hospitals during the Great War.

Howker was awarded the R.N.A.S.B.R. L.S. & G.C., 15 October 1920, and the Second Award Bar, 6 May 1941.
