British War Medal 1914-20 (2) (A. M. Todd; H. Todd) both in named card boxes of issue, both darkly toned, nearly extremely fine (2) £140-180

Helen Todd and Annie Margaret Todd were sisters, and both served during the Great War with the Y.M.C.A. in South East Havre, France, March 1918 - March 1919 (BWM full entitled in both cases). The sisters were the daughters of Bruce Beveridge Todd - one of the founding partners of Findlater Mackie Todd & Co. Ltd, which was sold to Bulmers in 1967, and Waitrose in 1993.

Annie was born in 1869, and died in Bath, in 1951. Her younger sister Helen was born in 1871, and married Colonel R. H. Phillimore, C.I.E., D.S.O., R.E. She predeceased her sister by four years, also dying in Bath.
