Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 3 clasps, Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal (33967 Pte W. Burke. 85th Coy Imp: Yeo:) top lugs removed, minor edge bruising, good very fine £70-90

William Burke was born in 1879 in Dublin. A 6’ 1” groom, he enlisted in London, in the Roughriders, 85th Company, Imperial Yeomanry on 22 February 1901, and served with them during the Boer War. He was discharged on 15 September 1902 (also entitled to South Africa 1901 & South Africa 1902 clasps).
