New Zealand 1845-66, reverse dated 1865 to 1866 (Capt. R W Stone, 4th Battn. Mility. Train) officially impressed naming, repair to suspension, contact wear and edge bruising, otherwise nearly very fine

Robert Warner Stone, Ensign, Military Train, 23 July 1858; Lieutenant, 31 January 1860; Captain, 17 November 1863; Major, 1 October 1877; Hon Lieutenant-Colonel, South Staffordshire Regiment, 2 October 1883. Served in New Zealand from November 1863 until January 1867 and took part in the operations under Major-General Duncan Cameron in 1865-66, including the action at Wanganui. He afterwards served in China, November 1872 to February 1876, and in the Straits Settlements, February 1876 to January 1877. He died in 1890.
