Waterloo 1815 (John Clarke, Driver, Royal Horse Artillery.) with later steel clip and split ring suspension, good very fine £1000-1400

John Clarke served in Captain Webber-Smith’s ‘F’ Troop during the Waterloo Campaign, 16- 18 June 1815. At the Battle of Waterloo ‘F’ Troop were positioned in the centre of Wellington’s right flank, and suffered terrible casualties during the final attack of the French Imperial Guard as their artillery focused on the thin line of horse gunners.
