Waterloo 1815 (Philip Biggs, 2nd Batt. 30th Reg. Foot.) fitted with original steel clip and ring suspension, minor edge bruising, otherwise good very fine £1600-1800

Philip Biggs is first traced as a Private in the 9th Garrison Battalion in December 1806. He joined the 2/30th Regiment on 26 April 1808 and served in the Peninsula from September 1809. He is shown as being in the regimental hospital in Portugal in December 1810, and in the general hospital in Portugal in October and November 1812. He was then stationed at Newport, I.O.W., until March 1813, and thereafter in Jersey until embarking for Holland on 2 January 1814. After Waterloo he was sent to England on 24 September 1815, to be discharged, having completed his term of service. Sold with muster details.
