Norman Wild was born on 17 November 1925 and attested for the Royal Leicestershire Regiment on 4 October 1948. He served with the Regiment in Korea and was taken Prisoner of War on 8 December 1951.

Sold together with the recipient’s cloth unit titles; Soldier’s Service and Pay Book; three Korean War ‘Welcome Home’ booklets; and the relic of a Communist flag, inscribed with best wishes from various fellow servicemen as a memento of the recipient’s service in Korea.

Note: The inscriptions on the flag indicate that it was not originally presented to N. Wild.
