Evelyn Ethel Ashe was commissioned Second Subaltern in the Auxiliary Territorial Service on 21 September 1941, and was promoted Subaltern on 20 March 1942. Advanced Major in the Women’s Royal Army Corps on 5 October 1954, she transferred to the Reserved in December of that year, and relinquished her commission on 1 December 1960.
