Frederick Hotham attested for the East Lancashire Regiment, and served with the 1st Battalion during the Second World War in North-West Europe. He died of wounds whilst serving with the Allied Expeditionary Force on 5 December 1944, and is commemorated in Hull Crematorium, Yorkshire.
