Violet Jean Bryant was born in Scottsdale, Tasmania, on 20 June 1917, and joined the Australian Army Nursing Service as a Staff Nurse on 29 July 1941. She was promoted Sister on 28 April 1942, and commissioned Lieutenant on 23 March 1943. She relinquished her appointment on 13 June 1946 and transferred to the reserve of Officers the following day.

Sold together with a copy of the Officer’s Record of Service.

Marjorie Finch Humphrey was born on 18 September 1921, and served during the Second World War with the South African Military Nursing Service from 12 February 1945. She was released from service on 10 September 1946.
