Miles Frederick Hudson was born at Wallingford, Napier, New Zealand, and served with the Otago Regiment, New Zealand Expeditionary Force during the Great War on the Western Front from 1916. He died at home on 14 February 1919, and is buried in Gisborne Cemetery, New Zealand.
