Henry Watson was born in Poplar, London, and attested for the Lancashire Fusiliers at Stratford, East London. He served during the Great War with the 2nd Battalion, and was killed in action on the Western Front on 9 October 1917. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium.
