R.N.V.R.); Defence and War Medals 1939-45; Imperial Service Medal, G.VI.R., 2nd issue (Christopher Alfred Jezzard); Jubilee 1935; Coronation 1937; Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve Decoration, G.V.R., silver and silver-gilt; Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve L.S. & G.C., G.V.R, 1st issue (5/108 C. A. Jezzard, Ch. Yeo. Sigs. R.N.V.R. Christopher Alfred Jezzard was born in January 1890, and enlisted in the Sussex Division, Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve in January 1909. He advanced to Yeoman of Signals in August 1913, and service during the Great War included in H.M. Ships Endymion, Doris, Sentinel, Foresight and Latona. He advanced to Acting Chief Yeoman of Signals in August 1918, and Commissioned Signal Boatswain in August 1933.

Jezzard was promoted Signal Lieutenant in August 1938, and retired after service during the Second War in January 1942. After the war he was employed in the Home Civil Service as Technical Officer, Brighton Telephone Area.
