5th Foot Order of Merit 1805, for 21 Years’ Service, 34mm, silver, obverse featuring St. George on horseback slaying a dragon, with ‘Revived Apr. 23, 1805’ in exergue; reverse embossed ‘Vth Foot Merit’, with ‘March 10th, 1767’ in exergue (J. Heyden), pierced with ring suspension, with ornate silver buckle bar, ref. Balmer R.174a, very fine £80-120
