Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 1 clasp, Rhodesia (242 Tpr: C. H. Owen. Rhodesia Regt.) with named card box of issue, in envelope addressed to ‘Mrs. Owen, The Crabtrees, Little Sutton, Cheshire’, extremely fine £260-300

Cecil Hall Owen was born in 1880 and educated at Shrewsbury School. He served with “A” Squadron, Rhodesia Regiment under Colonel (later Field Marshal) H. C. O. Plumer during the Boer War, and died in Gwanda Hospital of meningitis on 21 January 1900.
