Afghanistan 1878-80, 1 clasp, Ali Musjid (260, Farr: Sgt. W. Brooks, 10th Rl. Hussars) edge bruising, therefore nearly very fine £180-220

Nathaniel Brooks [sic] was born in Ripon, Yorkshire, and attested for the 10th Hussars at Aldershot, in January 1858. He advanced to Shoeing Smith in May 1860, and to Farrier Sergeant in August 1868. He served with the Regiment during the Second Afghan War 1878-80, and was discharged 8 March 1880, having served 22 years and 89 days with the Colours (entitled to L.S. & G.C.).
