Provenance: Spink 1900; Glendining, November 1933 and Spink, July 1997.

Rowland Middleton was born in Atley, Yorkshire, and attested for the 14th Light Dragoons at Leeds, in November 1798. He was discharged 28 September 1821, having served 22 years and 296 days with the Colours.
