Eton Rifle Volunteers Cadets Cloth Helmet and Carrying Tin 1878-1914, the cloth helmet of distinctive oatmeal colour complete with all white metal fittings and double braid band around the base, the bottom trim of buff coloured linen, complete with leather sweat band and lining (much perished), the sweat band with named label ‘Chichester Esq.,’; the japanned carrying tin with supplier’s brass plaque G.Wallis, Tailor, Eton, other than the lining the helmet is in remarkably good condition.
