The East Kent Regiment (The Buffs) Officer’s Blue Cloth Helmet and Tropical Helmet Tin Post 1902, the blue cloth helmet complete with all gilt metal fittings, frontal crowned plate with laurel and Garter overlays, in the centre on a ground of black velvet the Dragon, a silver scroll at the top of the laurels ‘The Buffs’ and similar at the base ‘The East Kent Regiment’, complete with original leather sweat band, the plate is original to the helmet and was retailed by L. Silberston, 12, Norris Street, London SW, the gilt dull overall, the chin chain fractured and has a crude repair; the tropical helmet tin with brass plate ‘Captn. E.E.
