97th (The Earl of Ulster’s) Regiment Officer’s Shako Plate 1844-55, gilt crowned eight pointed star back plate with ornate overlays in gilt comprising Union sprays, a circular strap ‘The Earl of Ulster’s Regiment’ enclosing ‘97’ on a domed ground, across the bottom of the Union sprays ‘Quo Fas Et Gloria Ducunt’, complete with three loop fasteners, two star points with slight buckling otherwise very good condition £400-500
