Harkaser Limbu attested for the 10th Gurkha Rifles in Nepal on 8 November 1957, and served with the Regiment in Malaya from 30 December 1957 until 14 July 1960, and in Borneo from 18 April until 11 July 1963, and from 5 October 1963 until 27 February 1964. For some of his service he worked in the Signal platoon, and was discharged on 31 December 1964, after 7 years and 54 days’ service.
