Frank Pearson was born at Tonbridge, Kent, on 26 July 1907, and joined the Royal Navy in 18 January 1923, serving as a Boy 2nd Class in H.M.S. Ganges. Promoted Able Seaman on 11 February 1926, Leading Seaman on 20 August 1935, and Petty Officer on 1 May 1937, he was awarded his Royal Navy Long Service and Good Conduct Medal on 29 July 1940. He served during the Second World War initially in H.M.S. Plover, in which ship he received his Mention in Despatches, and was advanced to Chief Petty Officer on 7 April 1942, whilst serving in H.M.S. Hornet. He was shore pensioned on 22 September 1947, and died at Portsmouth on 31 March 1980.
