William Thomas Wills, a manual instructor at Drayton Road Council School, Portsmouth, attested for the Army Service Corps at Portsmouth, and served during the Great War with the 884th Mechanical Transport Company, and subsequently on attachment to the 95th Siege Battery, Royal Garrison Artillery. He died of wounds on the Western Front on 4 August 1917, and is buried in Brandhoek New Military Cemetery, Ypres, Belgium.
