Pair: Private B. Jones, Manchester Regiment, died of wounds at Salonika, 24 May 1917

Ben Jones was born in Salford, Lancashire, and attested for the Duke of Lancaster’s Own Yeomanry on 7 September 1914. He subsequently transferred to the Manchester Regiment and served with the 13th Battalion during the Great War. He died of wounds at Salonika on 24 May 1917, and is buried in Mikra British Cemetery, Kalamaria, Greece.

Note: His Medal Index Card confirms that he was only entitled to the British War and Victory Medals.
