W. F. Dawson served during the Great War with the Bradford Pals Battalion, West Yorkshire Regiment.

T. C. Richardson served during the Great War with the 2nd, 8th, and 12th (Sheffield City) Battalions, York and Lancaster Regiment.

C. Simpson served during the Great War with the West Riding Regiment and was discharged on 21 October 1919.

George Forth was born at Caistor, Lincolnshire, and attested for the East Yorkshire Regiment at Goole. He served with the 11th Battalion during the Great War, and died of wounds on the Western Front on 16 July 1917. He is buried in Bois-Carre British Cemetery, Thelus, France.

Harold Gunn was born at Chesterton, Staffordshire, and attested for the West Riding Regiment at Huddersfield. He served with the 2nd/5th Battalion during the Great War, and was killed in action at the Battle of Arras on the Western Front on 3 May 1917. At 3:37 a.m. the Battalion moved forward to attack the Hindenburg Line west of Bullecourt. A heavy barrage commenced at zero hour, 3:45 a.m. A Company reached their objective and held it until 4:00 p.m. when they were counter attacked and bombed out, retiring onto the embankment. B, C, and D Companies came under heavy shell, rifle, and machine gun fire, and were held up in front of the enemy front line trench, with small parties holding out in shell holes until after dark when they retired to the embankment. The Battalion suffered heavy casualties, with 14 Officers and 400 other ranks killed, wounded, or missing. Amongst those killed was Gunn; he has no known grave and is commemorated n the Arras Memorial, France.
