Pair: Private W. Cadden, 19th Foot

Crimea 1854-56, 2 clasps, Inkermann, Sebastopol (W. Cadden. 19th Regt.) officially impressed naming, suspension claw loose; Turkish Crimea 1855, Sardinian issue, unnamed as issued, and pierced for ring suspension as issued, scratch marks to edge of last, generally nearly very fine or better (2) £220-260

William Cadden was born in Enniskillen and attested for the 27th Foot in June 1842. He advanced to Sergeant in April 1850, but deserted in September the following year. After a trial by Garrison Court Martial, a period of imprisonment and a reduction in rank, he volunteered for service with the 19th Foot in March 1854. He advanced to Corporal, but once again deserted in 1856, and was tried, imprisoned and reduced to the ranks. Cadden was discharged 17 December 1861.
