Elizabeth I (1558-1603), Pound, mm. woolpack (at end of legend on obv.), crowned bust in ruff with elaborate dress and pearls, rev. crowned square topped shield between er, 11.01g/12h (Brown/Comber F10; N2008; S2534). Centre cracked, scratch by chin and some hairlines both sides, otherwise about very fine, the variety rare (£800-1,000)
