Robert III (1390-1406), Groat, Aberdeen, mm. cross pattée, neat bust with annulets in spandrels, double crescent stops, reads villa abirdene, 2.68g/3h (B 42, fig. 393; SCBI 35, 596, same dies; S 5169). Legends weak in places and some faint hairlines on bust, otherwise very fine, very rare (£350-450)
