Glasgow, a base metal forgery of a Mexico, Charles IV, 8-Reales, 1794fm, Mexico City, obv. countermarked thistle bank · around 4/9, rev. counterstamped with a thistle, 24.12g (Manville X46, and p.94, item u, this coin; cf. D 80; ST 49). Severe flan crack from edge to centre, otherwise coin and countermarks about very fine (£90-120)
