James VI (1567-1625), One-Third Ryal, 1570, no stop after in, 10.11g/10h (B 4; S 5476). With crowned thistle countermark for the revaluation of 1578 to left of sword hilt, some hairline scratches both sides, otherwise about very fine and a very rare date (£1,000-1,200)
