David II (1329-1371), Sterling, Edinburgh, class D, mm. cross pattée on obv. only, ‘Robert II’ head with bushy hair, 0.88g/4h (Stewart D1; S 5119). Heavily double-struck, resulting in an unusual double image of the King’s head, otherwise fine or better (£40-60)
