Army L.S. & G.C., V.R., 3rd issue, small letter reverse (1st Cl. Sergt. Instrt. J. C. Glenville Rohilkhand Vol. Rfl. Corps) minor official corrections to naming, very fine £80-120

Joseph Charles Glenville was born in Dublin in 1860. He was serving as a colour-sergeant in the Royal Irish Regiment at Lucknow in 1892, when he was attached as a 1st Class Instructor to the Rohilkhand Volunteer Rifle Corps and qualified for his L.S. & G.C. medal. During the Great War he served as a Warrant Officer in the North Staffordshire Regiment, was mentioned in despatches and awarded the M.S.M. (L.G. 18 March 1918) and the Territorial Force Efficiency Medal. Sold with copied research.
