Henry Thomas Dunkley was born in Stoke Brewin, Northamptonshire, July 1847. He attested for the 2nd Dragoons (Royal Scots Greys), 20 September 1870, and served at Home until his eventual discharge as Troop Sergeant Major Rough Rider, 31 October 1891. Having completed 21 years and 39 days service with the Colours, Dunkley died in St. Pancras, London, in 1912.
