Memorial Plaque (2) (Alfred Ades; Ernest Woodhams) first in memorial cross frame; second in card envelope, with memorial card, extremely fine (2) £70-90

Alfred Ades was born in Beckley, Sussex, and enlisted in the Royal Fusiliers at Rye, Sussex. He served during the Great War with them, before transferring to the 1st Battalion, Royal West Surrey Regiment. He died of wounds on the Western Front on 21 March 1918, and is buried in Nine Elms British Cemetery, Belgium.

Ernest Woodhams, of Cuckfield, Sussex, served during the Great War with the 41st Siege Battery, Royal Garrison Artillery, and died of severe wounds in France on 11 November 1917. He is buried in Bard Cottage Cemetery, France.
