India General Service 1854-95, 1 clasp, Pegu (Geo. Burch. Capts. Cook “Spartan”) light contact marks, very fine £200-240

George Burch was born in Devonport. He joined the Royal Navy in 1846, and was posted as a Captain’s Cook to H.M.S. Avenger. Subsequent service included in H.M.S. Spartan, June 1852 - November 1857 (entitled to China 1857-60 Medal, no clasp, which was sent to him in August 1873).
