The Argyle and Sutherland Highlanders together with the Middlesex Regiment were the first British battalions to land in Pusan and enter the War. They fought through the bitter winter of 1950 up to the North Korean Capital of Pyong Yang. Major Muir earned the Victoria Cross for his gallantry in leading a ferocious counter attack to recapture a position occupied by the enemy.
