Ernest Frederick Smith was born in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, in 1893 and enlisted there for the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry. He served with the 1/1st (Buckinghamshire) Battalion during the Great War in France from 30 March 1915, and was killed in action on the Western Front on 4 October 1917, during an attack on the enemy positions, and is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium.

John Mendy was born in Flackwell Heath, Buckinghamshire, in 1894 and enlisted for the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry at High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. He served with the 1st Battalion during the Great War, and accidentally drowned whilst bathing in Mesopotamia on 8 April 1917, and is commemorated on the Basra Memorial, Iraq.

George William Peddle
was born in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, and enlisted there for the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry. He served with the 5th Battalion during the Great War, and died of wounds on the Western Front on 15 December 1917, and is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium.

Ernest Bird a native of High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, served with the 2/1st (Buckinghamshire) Battalion, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry during the Great War and was wounded at Fromelles, 19 July 1916, before being invalided out due to his wounds in May 1917.
