G. Brown served during the Great War with the 10th Battalion, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders. He died on 3 March 1919, and is buried in Carlisle Cemetery, Cumberland (now Cumbria).

Samuel Walker was born in Leeds, Yorkshire, and enlisted there for the West Yorkshire Regiment. He served with them during the Great War and with the 12th Battalion, South Staffordshire Regiment, before transferring to the 26th Labour Company, Labour Corps. He died on the Western Front on 8 November 1918, and is buried in Cement House Cemetery, Belgium.
