George Everett was born in 1886 and enlisted for the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry at Oxford on 4 September 1914. He served with the 3rd Battalion during the Great War in France from 22 July 1915, and was wounded on 16 August 1917, before being discharged to Class ‘Z’ Army Reserve.

Joseph Bunyan served with the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry during the Great War in France from 18 September 1915, before subsequently transferring to the Machine Gun Corps.

Herbert Stacey was born in Bristol, Gloucestershire in 1893, and enlisted in the Buckinghamshire Battalion, Territorial Force at High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, on 24 February 1911. He served with the 1/1st (Buckinghamshire) Battalion Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry during the Great War in France from 30 March 1915, was wounded in action on 15 May 1915, and was discharged on account of sickness, 6 September 1916.
