Reginald A. Hall was born in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, the son of Cornelius and Beatrice Hall, and enlisted in the Royal Engineers at Westminster. He served with them in Egypt from 19 July 1915, and subsequently served with the Signal Service Training Centre, R.E. He died at home on 21 June 1918, and is buried in High Wycombe Cemetery.

Harold John Hall was the brother of Reginald A. Hall.
