Gds.); Defence Medal; Army L.S. & G.C., G.V.R., 1st issue, fixed suspension (390955 Sjt. W. Spreadbury K.D.G.), mounted as originally worn, contact marks overall, nearly very fine (5) £180-220

William Spreadbury was born in Grately, Hampshire. He served during the Great War with the 5th Dragoon Guards in the French theatre of war from 15 August 1914. He transferred to the Machine Gun Corps (Cavalry), 29 November 1916. Died in Andover, June 1958.
