C & T.C.) engraved naming, mounted for display purposes in this order, heavy pitting from Star, nearly very fine (3) £240-280

George Stephen Woollett was born in Woolwich, Kent, in 1852 and attested for the Commissariat and Transport Corps at London on 19 August 1870. He went with the Corps to Egypt on 17 February 1885, and was present during the operations at Suakin, 1 March to 14 May 1885. Returning home on 7 July 1885, he was awarded his Army Long Service and Good Conduct Medal and advance to Staff Sergeant-Major, Army Service Corps, 1 February 1889, before retiring on 31 December 1891, after 21 years and 135 days’ service.
