Egypt and Sudan 1882-89, dated reverse, 1 clasp, Tel-El-Kebir (2042. Pte. L. Burleigh. 4th D.. Gds) partially officially renamed; Khedive’s Star, 1882, reverse contemporarily engraved ‘Private L. Burleigh R.I.D.G.’, edge bruise to 1st, otherwise very fine (2) £80-120

Langford Burleigh was born in Ayr, Scotland, in 1858. He attested for the 4th Dragoon Guards, 20 September 1876, and served with the Regiment in Egypt, 9 August 1882 - 22 October 1882. He died in Strood, Kent, in 1933.
