8th Kent Rifle Volunteers (Sydenham) Officer’s Pouch Belt Plate 1859-1871. A very rare example to this short lived unit in die-stamped silver plate, being a large oval strap inscribed, ‘8th Company of Kent “Sydenham” Rifle Volunteers’, in the centre flanked by laurel sprays a shield bearing the White Horse, across the base of the laurels, ‘Invicta’, complete with two screw post fasteners, very good condition £200-300
Note. The 8th Corps raised in 1859 was disbanded in 1871.
