Siege of Mafeking Five Original Photographs, these include two of the dummy field gun manufactured during the siege from a length of drainpipe. The field gun with its attendant ‘gunners’ and Baden-Powell dressed in his distinctive white shirt, binoculars slung over his shoulder and smoking a pipe, along with another group photograph of soldiers manning a defensive stone lined trench. A group photograph of defenders seated and standing outside a field tent and a photograph of two captured Boer prisoners, all photographs approx. 10.5 x 6 cms, sold with various photocopy extracts concerning the siege etc., three of the photographs with some fading otherwise good condition £100-150
